ANET Group successfully delivered a fully off-grid SCADA radio tower installation in Shawatlan, British Columbia - one of the most logistically demanding regions on the BC coast. Located in rugged terrain with no direct road access, the project required a highly coordinated aerial delivery strategy to transport all materials, including structural steel, tower components, and electrical infrastructure, via helicopter.
Working under challenging geographic and regulatory conditions, ANET developed and executed a comprehensive aerial logistics and safety plan, minimizing environmental impact while adhering to stringent aviation and environmental compliance standards.
The project scope included the supply and installation of tower foundations, anchoring systems, and SCADA-compatible antenna infrastructure, as well as the integration of electrical, grounding, and lightning protection systems designed to support reliable, real-time communication in extreme weather and geological conditions.
Completed in October 2024, this project showcases ANET Group’s capability to engineer and execute complex, remote infrastructure builds—combining precision planning, aerial logistics, and SCADA integration to deliver high-reliability communication systems in some of Canada’s most challenging terrains.
ANET Group successfully completed the design and construction of a SCADA radio tower system at the Montreal Circle site in British Columbia—one of several critical installations supporting regional communication and monitoring infrastructure for the City of Prince Rupert.
Set in a remote, elevated coastal environment, the project demanded meticulous logistical planning and sequencing to overcome limited access, steep terrain, and highly variable weather. ANET’s engineering and field teams coordinated closely to ensure safe mobilization, efficient delivery of materials, and on-time completion despite environmental constraints.
The scope of work included tower foundation construction, installation of the full vertical tower and SCADA antenna system, integration of electrical and grounding infrastructure, and commissioning of the communications network. All work adhered to stringent safety and environmental protocols under ANET’s Design-Build execution model, ensuring precision and reliability from engineering through completion.
This project reinforces ANET Group’s proven capability to deliver remote infrastructure under complex site conditions, integrating design, engineering, and construction expertise to enable reliable communications and data monitoring across British Columbia’s most challenging environments.
