On Earth Day, April 22, 2025, the Municipality of Lakeshore celebrated the unveiling of two new dual-port EV charging stations, delivered under the Charged for Change program funded by Aviva Canada in partnership with Earth Day Canada.
ANET Group proudly served as the General Contractor, overseeing site preparation, electrical installation, and commissioning of the EV chargers. Engineering design and approvals were coordinated through licensed professional consultants retained by the municipality and project partners.
Each station—located at Lakeview Park and the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre—can charge two vehicles simultaneously, supporting residents and visitors in adopting cleaner, more sustainable transportation options.
The project was primarily funded through a sustainability grant. Since launch, the chargers have seen steady community use, furthering Lakeshore’s environmental and net-zero goals. Drivers can conveniently access the chargers using the ChargePoint network, with a rate of $2 per hour.
