Overview:
ANET Fiber Tech Inc. is delivering a turnkey installation and commissioning of a new standby generator system for the Viasat Edmonton Afterburner site under RFP #PW-B-44-2025-25-E0. The project scope encompasses civil, structural, and electrical integration works, including concrete pad construction, conduit and trenching, installation of an H-frame and automatic transfer switch (ATS), switchgear upgrades, and grounding system implementation.
The project is being executed through ANET’s integrated delivery model in collaboration with Electrical Engineering & Technologies Ltd. (EETL), a licensed ESA electrical contractor. ANET is providing complete project management, utility coordination, and oversight, while EETL performs the licensed installation, permitting, and commissioning in full compliance with the Electrical Safety Code.
Work includes all permitting, ESA approvals, load-bank testing, and final turnover documentation. The installation is being managed using ANET’s own forces for civil and coordination works to ensure quality control, schedule adherence, and operational reliability.
Upon completion, the new generator system will provide secure, resilient backup power for Viasat’s Edmonton operations, reinforcing ANET’s reputation for delivering technically robust, safety-compliant, and future-ready infrastructure for mission-critical clients.
